Happy Mother's Day!

As I aged, I noticed that I paid less and less attention to holidays. They are still celebrated, but with less fanfare. I usually get flowers but this year I got a botanical garden from the husband. He took me to the mall yesterday and picked up this J.Crew Liberty Perfect Shirt in Tresco Floral for me (last day for 30% off sale items with code SUNSHINE). The colors are vivid, the  super high thread count cotton is extremely soft to the touch and has a silky feel to it, the fit is perfect.  It picks up a dreary rainy day easily and can be paired with just about any color on the shirt. Thank you, Bryan.

How do you celebrate Mother's Day? What did you wear for this occasion?
Me: You need to be lower.. (commenting on the fact that he is standing tall and straight when taking this picture)
Husband: Sometime people like to see what you look like from the real angle.

He was half squatting for this picture. Does it really make me look taller?
Beautiful floral print from London's Liberty Art Fabrics (J.Crew site: famous for its eye-popping florals and paisleys since 1875).

  1. Such a cheerful outfit, Vicky. Happy Mother's Day to you. Enjoy your special day with the kids =)

  2. This look is one of the best from you! I love it a lot, the colors and style suits the petite you. We didn't get to celebrate much this Mother's day as my husband is smack in the middle of an important course for his job plus it is Sunday a school day here. So we went for a quick coffee at our fave coffee shop Brunetti and hit the bookstore to flip through some mags. On the way back we bought a nice yummy cake and had it for dessert after lunch with the boys :) Happy Mother's day Vicky!

  3. Belated Happy Mother's Day...which should really be every day, of course.
