Random deals and H&M sweater

Gap/Old Navy/Banana Republic 30% off with their card sale ends tonight. So hurry up if you are still planning on ordering stuff from them. Use code "SAVEBIG" and get 30% off almost everything, and yes, you can only find out what is qualified and what is not by checking out. Pain in the neck. I ordered 2 khaki flat front pants for my son and they turned out to be not qualified. Also you get free shipping on $100 purchase, no code necessary. Cool thing is the site considered my before discount amount to be $107 and automatically gave me the free shipping even though I ended up paying $79. Hehe. Don't forget to use ebates.com to save an extra 2%. I didn't order anything for myself. But I did stock up on kids' clothing.

Also I have to pass on this tip from PAG. CVS is having a Revlon nail polish sale. They are now $3.99 which normally run for up to $8. Then you get $3 extrabucks per bottle, making them 99 cents each. Can you beat that? Go to the store and stock up! The sale ends Saturday 10/9.

Another tip I got from PAG which I kicked myself for not knowing it earlier was that H&M has an iphone app. If you download it and shake it you get a coupon for 20% off one item, which I could have used on the jacket I got last weekend (Yes, Jean, I got the same jacket you have in orange after resisting for a few weeks, only in grey. Oh I love it. It's so cold today that I had to wear it in the office) or the pretty periwinkle sweater featured in this post. Oh well.

Who's going to Target this Sunday to check out the Mulberry bags?

Moving on to today's outfit post. The sweater was $25 purchased from H&M. It's one of the "better made" clothing piece. I fell in love with the color as soon as I spotted it, and was really impressed by its workmanship. After all, I have very low expectation from H&M. Click on the image to get a closer look if you will, the buttons are extremely well made and cute. The place where buttons are sewn on is a different textured fabric, and I love the way they paid attention to details like this. The fit is tight and I prefer to wear it unbuttoned.

Outfit details:
Top: Esprit
Sweater: H&M (XS)
Jean leggings: Loft
Shoes: Bongo.

  1. Is the Loft's jean legging from this year? I'm curious how it looks in the back. I'm not sure the leggings fit you well just looking at the front--mostly around the knee area. I haven't have luck with Loft's jeans/pants this year. They're too long for me.

  2. Hahaha, oh Vicky, I'm so glad you got that jacket because I've been wearing a lot over the past month. Unfortunately it is now getting too cold for it. I had on a long sleeve thermal plus a scarf with it this weekend and was shivering.

I was kicking myself too for not knowing about the App. 20% off is pretty darn good at a place like H&M. I'm not sure if you saw pauline's tip but you can delete the app, then re-download to use it again. I discovered that too but knew that H&M would hate on me for posting about it...shhh

  3. The Esprit top is so pretty, I love dusty lavender for the fall. The jeggings go perfectly with this. I also disapprove of Gap's somewhat arbitrary selection of items that qualify...I passed on this sale and I am pretty happy with it.

  4. Love the grey top and cardigan combo. You fall into my color spectrum. :) I'm just thinking about some new nail polish. Thanks for sharing so many exciting news.

  5. Love the combo of the top and sweater. And I'm still hunting for that H&M jacket (which would've come in handy in this chilly weather we've been having), but I guess not hard enough because I still haven't found on in size 2 in ANY color.

  6. The buttons and all the detailing are super cute! I do prefer it unbuttoned on you as well.

I ordered a bunch of stuff from Old Navy and didn't have problems with the coupon code. Maybe it's just Gap? I do remember their premium pants not being part of the sale. Boo!

  7. The jean legging is from this Spring, not Fall. So comfortable.

  8. Big difference between commuters like you and suburban folks like me, we wear less, because we don't have to be out there in the cold that long. I was in Boston with my family last weekend. We were there for the Blue Man Group, so we wandered on Newbury street Sunday afternoon. Did I freeze my butt off!!! I learned my lesson now. I DID look around in H&M thinking I might run into you somehow. LOL.

  9. Oh yeah, I just adore that color, I call it periwinkle, you call it dusty lavender and Sahara thinks it's grey (so did my daughter, haha). Whatever the color is called, it's just sooooo cute.

  10. Hey, I did notice that my color spectrum is getting narrower. I wonder why.

  11. When I was there, only one sz 2 was left in grey, and none of the other colors, black or orange were anywhere in sight. It must be popular. This jacket is also "better made" version of H&M I think. And the sleeves are just the right length. I tried on some other longer coats, one fit very well (I got some compliments from other girls when I tried it on) but the sleeves were too long.

  12. Hi Cee. I did order from Old Navy, not Gap. It's just that they randomly take some items out of their promotion and you don't know it until you check out which is kind of annoying. What did you order?
